Beautiful photography that evokes my dream of a cottage at a mountains foot, idyllic life, out the back door camera in my hand!! I can dream!
As for the photograph I love the composition the tussock grasses drawing you into the frame, the stone built cottage standing tall, acting as the gate house to the wonders beyond. The snow capped mountain, so inviting, yet probably full of danger for those who venture high above. Finished off superbly with the backdrop of blue and white sky. For me a very evocative scene, thank you so much for sharing. Simon

"(...)probably full of danger for those who venture high above." - I made this mistake 4 weeks ago! It was much more snow, much more icy. I've seen one man who slip over and falling down but he got right equipment and survive. This moment I will remember to my last day... I will try climb on this rock once again on summer time...
